Leroy R. Wehrle passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at his home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. He was 87 years old. Mr. Wehrle was born in Newark and was raised in Union. He lived in Kendall Park and Stuart, FL for many years and has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 2000. He was a salesman for American Sterilizer in Erie, PA for over 35 years and later enjoyed several years as a golf starter and ranger at Bunker Hill Golf Club in Princeton. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, and visiting Walt Disney World. He was also very involved in the Boy Scouts and was a former Troop Leader while living in Kendall Park.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley C. (Hastie) Wehrle of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., two children, Cindy Bailey of Orlando, FL, and Bob Wehrle and his wife Terri Shultz of East Windsor, two sisters-in-law, Marlene Wehrle of Forked River, and Norma Moretti of Morgan, four grandchildren, Christopher Bailey, Bridget Bailey, Timothy Bailey, and Zak Wehrle, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Thursday September 13, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.
Cremation is private.
