John J. Barlotta, 91, of Monroe Twp. died on Monday February 19, 2018 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. John was born and raised in Brooklyn and resided there for most of his life before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1998. He proudly served his country in the US Army. John started working as a butcher in various butcher shops early in his career. He was employed as Meat Manager, Meat Supervisor, and finally retired as Meat Buyer, working at Big Apple, ShopRite and Fine Fare Supermarkets throughout his career. John loved taking trips to Atlantic City to play Blackjack and watching the NY Mets. Most of all, he was very proud of his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his wife Viola (Romano) Barlotta (2002), three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his three daughters: Diane Hraniotis and her husband Terry of Monroe Twp., Toni Monier of Bellerose Manor, NY and Cathy Vazzana and her husband Anthony of Freehold, six grandchildren: Corinne Cogliati and her husband TJ Malone, Dr. Nicole Hraniotis, Christy Nixon, Esq. and her husband Charles, Amy Brostoff and her husband Adam, Anthony Vazzana and Matthew Vazzana and three great grandchildren: Dylan Malone, Angelica Malone and Alexandra Brostoff.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Thursday February 22, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home - 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday February 23, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am on Friday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by entombment in Clover Leaf Memorial Park - Woodbridge.
